Laporje is a village in the Slovenska Bistrica municipality in northeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Podravje statistical region.[2]
The parish church in the settlement is dedicated to Saints Phillip and James and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Maribor. It was built in 1907 on the site of a 14th century church.[3]
